Produced between 1966-1970, the Hofner 4600/E2 was a German manufactured thin-line hollowbody, notable for its shallow body depth of 1 1/4"! Nice and resonant acoustically, as well as being super light to boot! Amplified, it has a prominent treble bite with great note clarity. This particular example has some finish checking throughout the body. It appears evident that the flimsy toggle switch had at some point been replaced with a more robust three-way toggle. Otherwise appears to be in original condition.
Hardware is functional, and currently plays with a wonderful low action.
