Sustainability
At Replay Guitars, we believe it's the duty of every business, including ourselves, to be as environmentally conscious and sustainable as possible.
Without a healthy planet and environment, there is no music!
With that in mind, here are a few things we do to keep our impact low:
100% Biodegradable & Recycled Packaging.
Every order we send out, we ensure we pack in 100% biodegradable or recycled packaging. Our satchels we post our larger orders out with are made from plants, they are 100% biodegradable and can be composted, or just thrown away without a worry. They are made by a company right here in Australia, and they take as little as 90 days to fully degrade. So futuristic!
All our smaller orders are shipped out in recycled paper envelopes. These can also be put into your recycle bin and they will be turned into lots of other cool stuff again.
Also, we even make sure we don't use sticky tape on any of our deliveries. That makes all our orders 100% plastic free!*
Carbon Neutral Deliveries.
We are proud (and also quite excited) to say that Australia Post and every courier company we partner with, allows us to provide you with 100% carbon neutral deliveries!
"If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"
One of our philosophies from the beginning in the workshop has been, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". We think this is a really good guiding principle in which to operate a business, particularly one that repairs and maintains musical instruments.
While many repairers and luthiers may jump straight to replacing parts, or hastily upgrade components when it doesn't help you or your playing, we ensure that each upgrade is totally worth it, and will improve your instrument.
Often instrument parts, particularly electronic parts, just need a good clean and service and don't require replacing. This not only maintains originality of your instrument, but it's also one less thing to end up in landfill, and your wallet will thank you too!
* While we ensure our contribution is 100% plastic free, and all our shipping materials are either 100% biodegradable or recycled. Unfortunately many companies we stock don't employ a similar philosophy yet, and their own packaging might include plastics or non-recyclable or biodegradable parts. Sometimes this is due to ensuring the product arrives in good condition from the manufacturer (particularly in regards to silicone or plastic sleeves in string packets, and technology just hasn't caught up yet. Hopefully in time, everyone will be on the same page!
