1990s Mayones KTM Yellow & Black Ripple
$554.00
A cool example from the early days of Polish brand, Mayones!
Established in 1982, Mayones exists to this day making a range of original designs with exceptionally high build quality, and used by some of the most innovative musicians across genres such as metal and jazz fusion. This particular example appears to be a KTM model, and based off referencing other headstock logos, possibly dates to around the mid-90s. These models appear to have been composed of a maple body with a maple neck and fretboard. Employing what appears to be some kind of a roller nut, this example features a two-point tremolo system and a string bar behind the nut. The neck has a fast and thin profile and possess a 16" fretboard radius. A HSS pickup configuration is present, with the electronics and pickups appearing to be original? Unfortunately the literature and resources are scant on these earlier models. Sounds great though!
Cosmetic condition is good with visible swirl marks and light scratching present throughout. There are a few finish chips in the arm rest area by the side of the guitar, as well as a small chip near the neck bolts. There are some minor indentations on the back of the neck. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low action. Includes a gig bag.
