1990s Fender CIJ PB70-70US Precision Bass Olympic White
$866.00
A premium Precision Bass offering from Fender Japans CIJ period!
The undebatable bedrock of popular music, the Precision Bass has wormed its way onto tracks spanning the entire history of modern recorded music. This particular example, manufactured sometime between the years of 1997 and 2000, is the PB70-70US which aims to capture some of the looks and specifications of early '70s Precision Basses. Featuring an alder body finished in olympic white, the PB70-70US boasts a maple neck and rosewood fretboard with oval shape neck profile. These came with USA vintage pickups. An inspection on the backs don't reveal any direct indicator, but due to the consistent wear and tarnishing in relation to the bass, appear to be the original set. These originally came with a thumb rest by the bass side of the pickup, however this is missing with the drill holes remaining exposed. A cool player with plenty of thump!
Cosmetic condition is fair with discolouration to the body as well as noticeable wear to the bottom of the body. There is also a paint chip on the top of the headstock. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low action. No case or gig bag included.
