1980s Hondo Chiquita Travel Guitar Red

Designed in the late '70s by Mark Erlewine and Billy Gibbons, the Chiquita is the iconic travel guitar!

Manufactured in South Korea and produced throughout the 1980s under the brand name of Hondo, the Chiquita also infamously appeared at the start of Back to the Future. Featuring a compact 19-inch scale length and a simplified control scheme of a volume control and humbucker, the Chiquita may be small but can certainly rock! Finished in red, this retro short scale is sure to turn heads!

Cosmetic condition is very good for its age, showing light wear in the form of minor scratching and dinging. The original black stencil logo on the truss rod cover has worn off or been removed. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low action. Includes the original case, but is missing the original mini amplifier.
