The ukulele was all the rage in the first half of the 20th century, and as a result countless builders sprung up during these times. This particular example appears to date to around the mid-1910s and is a Royal Style 3 made of Koa. Featuring binding to the top in tandem with a gorgeous rosette, this example delivers an incredible tone courtesy of its koa construction, all while serving as a piece of playable history.
Cosmetic condition is good for its age, showing signs of wear in the form of dings and scratches throughout. Some of the binding has chipped, exposing the top of the instrument. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low-medium action. Includes a period-correct case.
