Alpha 500k Metric Thread Audio Taper 'Push Pull' Pot. Used to control pickup phasing series/parallel switching coil-taps and more.

- Metric thread: M8 x .75
- 7.8mm diameter brass threaded collar (import size, smaller than USA spec versions).
- 18 spline aluminium split shaft (coarse).
- Includes 1 x nut, 1 x dress washer.

Dimensions:

- 46mm overall length.
- 23mm width. 
- The brass threaded collar is 9.5mm long.
- Total length of the shaft to the top of the spline is 18mm.
- Split shaft diameter : 6mm.

Which Ohm value should you choose?

500k pots are the standard volume and tone controls for humbuckers, and 250k's are usually used for single-coil pickups. A 250k gives a slightly warmer tone than a 500K by sending more of the high-frequencies in the circuit to ground.
