Regal started out in 1896 with production initially taking place in Indianapolis. However, after being purchase by Lyon and Healey in 1904, production moved to Chicago. Quite rare and hard to find, this example dates approximately late '20s to early '30s. Features a 12th fret neck join alongside a Brazilian Rosewood fretboard, Spruce top, and Mahogany back and sides. At some stage it appears there may have been a neck heel repair. Bridge appears to have been replaced, as markings on the base of the instrument indicate it had a tailpiece setup at some stage. There appears to be some minor inward sloping of the fretboard. However, due to the over-sized bracing, the top is holding up quite well.

A great historical piece, that not only looks great but sounds pretty amazing too!

Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a medium action. Includes a period Stamford case.
