2011 Martin D-18 Standard Spruce

Martin effectively wrote the book on dreadnought design, with the D-18 coming to be their defining design. Composed of a solid sitka spruce top with solid mahogany back and sides, the D-18 delivers exceptional mid-range punch and low end clarity that has made it the gold standard for flatpickers the world around. This example features the standard scalloped x-bracing in addition to a very comfy 1-3/4" nut width. Featuring a gloss nitro finish, this example absolutely sings and delivers an exceptional, focused attack that defines the best dreadnoughts!

Cosmetic condition is good, showing light signs of wear in the form of scratches and dings throughout the body and neck. The most visible scratches are predominantly focused on the back of the instrument. There are some spots along the binding where the nitro has chipped away. Has had an internal pickup added with soundhole mounted volume control. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a medium action. Includes the original hardcase.
