A true rock 'n' roller from Gordon Smith!
Founded in 1974, Gordon Smith have the honour of being the UK's longest running electric-guitar manufacturer. This particular example dating to 1996 is the GS1, a single pickup, double cutaway model with some serious attitude. Composed of a mahogany body with set mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard, the beauty of the GS1 lies in its simplicity. A single original pickup is present in addition to a master volume and tone, as well as coil splitting. Another interesting feature is the addition of a brass nut. If you need a guitar that does one sound, and does it really well, it might just be this one!
Cosmetic condition is fair, showing noticeably signs of play wear throughout in the form of dings, scratches, scuffs, and hardware corrosion. There appears to mild impact damage around the output jack. Notably, the front of the headstock is peeling off and separating in places. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low action. Includes an aftermarket hardcase.
