A signature model for one of the all time greats of jazz guitar!
Born in 1929, Joe Pass came to redefine the language of jazz guitar, with particular emphasis on his solo playing which has come to influence countless guitarists to this day. Famous for playing an ES-175, Pass famously had a short lived signature model with Ibanez before eventually collaborating on this design with Epiphone. This particular example dating to 1994 was manufacturing in the Samick factory in Korea. Featuring a spruce top in combination with maple back and sides, this example boasts a fully hollow construction which delivers exceptional acoustic and electric presence. A slim taper 'C' shape maple neck is present with an effortless 12" rosewood fretboard with abalone inlays featured. Upgraded with what looks to be Gibson '57 Classic pickups, this example absolutely sings!
Cosmetic condition is very good with light play wear present and tarnishing of the gold plated hardware. This particular example along with having the original pickups swapped out, now features a set of Grover Imperial tuners. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low action with a slight rattle on the 17th fret of the low E string. Includes an Epiphone hardcase.
