A very obscure, yet cool electric made for Maton in the 1980s!
Manufactured in Japan for Maton, the Tasman was a double-cutaway, 24-fret electric, very reminiscent of what a lot of Japanese companies were putting out in the late '70s and early '80s. In contrast to other examples, this instrument features a neck through body construction utilising maple and ash respectively.
Features coil tapping for both pickups and a phase switch, which is quite fun and makes for a really tonally flexible instrument.
Cosmetically this example is in quite good condition for its age. Some minor dings and scratches are located throughout the body, otherwise it looks great! Hardware is fully functional, and plays well with a low action. No case.
