1980s Realistic Moog Concertmate MG-1 Analog Synthesizer
$993.00
A super cool monophonic synthesizer resulting from a collaboration between Radio Shack and Moog!
Looking to expand their market, Moog sought to contract manufacture a synthesizer that was mass-marketable and much more affordable than their current offerings at the time. Radio Shack ended up being the manufacturer, and collaborated with Moog to design a synthesizer whilst keeping within Radio Shacks pricing structure. The result was the Realistic Concertmate MG-1! Featuring two oscillators in combination with a 24db low pass filter, as well as noise and ring modulation, the MG-1 represented a great pathway into synthesizers at the time whilst being intuitive and straight forward to use. Despite missing pitch and modulation wheels, the MG-1 is still extremely fun to use and a great piece of synthesizer history!
Cosmetic condition is good with wear present to both the chassis and keyboard. Hardware and electronics appear fully functional. Please note, this use RCA outputs as opposed to the standard quarter inch connection.
