A partscaster with some serious vintage mojo!
The demand (and thus prices) for vintage '60s Fender has truly skyrocketed in the last five years. This particular example offers a mishmash of vintage and neo-vintage parts for one seriously killer Jag! The neck dates to November 1964 with a B profile, in tandem with an L series neck plate that corresponds to 1964. The neck has most likely been re-fretted at some stage The tuners are older Klusons, however, are not correct to this neck. A look inside the internals reveals Jaguar pickups dated to 1966 with grey bobbins, which sound excellent. The remainder of the instrument appears to have belonged to a late 1980s MIJ Jaguar, with corresponding hardware and electronics representive of a Japanese-made instrument from this time.
The heel shows evidence of splits which show some signs of attempted repair in the past. There is a small crack that runs from the truss rod hole and up through the veneer rosewood fretboard. These cracks at this moment appear to be stabilised.
Cosmetic condition is good given given its age and extent of modifications. The neck shows patches of finish wear to the back. The body shows wear in the form of scuffing, scratches, finish wear, and dings all throughout. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low action. Includes an aftermarket case and tremolo arm.
