A gorgeous example of late '70s Japanese craftsmanship!
Featuring in the Morris catalogue as a higher end model, the W-50 appears to have been manufactured approximately between 1978 and 1981. Featuring a solid spruce top in combination with laminated rosewood back and sides, the W-50 boasts a gorgeous three piece back consisting of rosewood and maple. A mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard is present and adorned throughout with hexagonal abalone inlays. A V-shape neck profile is present and feels excellent in hand. Delivering on all the classic tonal qualities of a dreadnought, this particular example is equally assertive and responsive with excellent clarity in the upper mids/high end. A great example from a highly regarded period of Japanese guitar manufacturing.
Cosmetic condition is very good for its age with some minor scratches and play wear present throughout. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low-medium action. Includes a padded dreadnought gig bag.
